M.TEC ENGINEERING GmbH Renaming

New Name Reflects the Company's Development

The Aachen-based engineering company M.TEC is a service provider for the development and realisation of technical products and processes. The interdisciplinary engineering teams design product innovations for their customers in various industries, on from the first sketch up to the management of the start of series production.

„M.TEC has made huge progress since its foundation as a specialist for plastics technology know-how in 1991. The new name M.TEC ENGINEERING GmbH illustrates much better what M.TEC stands for today.“ Wolfgang Pelzer, Managing Director

The new name replaces the previous name M.TEC Ingenieurgesellschaft für kunststofftechnische Produktentwicklung mbH.

The approximately 40 employees of M.TEC generate an annual turnover of about € 4 million at the company’s location in Herzogenrath near Aachen. In addition to product development in the medical, electrical appliances, automotive, mechanical engineering and building technology sectors, the service portfolio also includes the design and optimisation of production processes, troubleshooting for products, parts and systems as well as engineering services in product lifecycle management and in the support of series production.

Plastics technology is still a development focus, but today the engineering expertise extends to all aspects of product development and industrialisation. An in-house department for simulation & calculation, which also markets all simulation services such as warpage optimisation using the digital twin individually, completes the capabilities of M.TEC ENGINEERING GmbH.

As a member of the Feddersen Group, M.TEC complements the engineering competence of the Hamburg-based group with knowledge-based engineering services, specifically with the combined expertise in plastics technology, product development and processes. At the same time, M.TEC remains a development service provider independent of materials and processes.
