Feddersen Group Acquires Design Engineering Company
On 29 June 2018, Hamburg-based K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH acquired all shares of M.TEC Ingenieurgesellschaft für kunststofftechnische Produktentwicklung mbH, a design engineering service provider for product development and plastics engineering based in Herzogenrath near Aachen, Germany.
The current principal shareholder, Dr.-Ing. Volker Gorzelitz, will continue in his capacity as Managing Director and sole authorised representative of the design engineering service provider that focuses on developing holistic products and solutions.
With this acquisition, the Feddersen Group intends to systematically expand its range of services and create problem-solving expertise within the Group by entering the arena of knowledge-based services.
Through M.TEC, the corporate group also gains access to the RWTH Aachen University, an Excellence University in the German educational system and one of the leading technical universities in the world, and in particular to its Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV), which by its own account is the leading institute worldwide for research and training in the field of plastics engineering. This of course also makes the corporate group more attractive for the next generation of engineers and researchers.

The contracting parties had agreed to maintain confidentiality with regard to the acquisition price of M.TEC.
