Karl Detlef Feddersen establishes K.D. Feddersen & Co., specialised in the distribution of chemical products
1950
Karl Detlef Feddersen acquires Norddeutsche Ueberseegesellschaft in Hamburg, a trading company for technical products founded in 1919
1955
K.D. Feddersen & Co. starts to distribute plastics
1958
After the passing of Karl Detlef Feddersen, K.D. Feddersen Foundation becomes sole owner of the Feddersen Group
1968
K.D. Feddersen & Co. signs a distribution contract for the distribution of the plastics portfolio with HOECHST AG
1979
Along with Uwe Voß, Feddersen Group establishes Voß Edelstahlhandel GmbH
1985
K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH becomes owner of Feddersen Group. K.D. Feddersen Foundation, now sole owner of the holding, concentrates on its role as a non-profit public benefit organisation
1988
Acquisition of Plastverarbeitung Eich, a manufacturer of engineering plastics, based in Niederzissen, Germany. Name changed to AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH in 1992
1992
Acquisition of Schlubach Group, international trading firm, founded in 1867
1998
Formation of K.D.F. Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China
2002
AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH moved to the new production facility in Niederzissen, Germany
2003
K.D. Feddersen GmbH & Co. KG acquires distribution rights for the French market, thereby creating K.D. Feddersen France
2003
Foundation of AF-COLOR as a branch of AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH
2004
AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH establishes AKRO Engineering Plastics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. as its manufacturing base in Tongli, Jiangsu province, China
2006
By founding Voss Stainless UK Ltd., Voß Edelstahlhandel GmbH & Co. KG establishes its first subsidiary after opening branch offices in Germany, Austria and France
2007
K.D. Feddersen enters the Nordic market with the acquisition of Materialdepån Norden AB, now K.D. Feddersen Norden AB, based in Värnamo, Sweden
